Effective 18 November 2025. This policy explains how CodeStorm Arena collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you participate in our competitions or manage events on the platform.

Information We Collect

Account details supplied by Clerk, including name, email, and profile image.
Competition data such as quiz attempts, answers, scores, and submission timestamps.
Operational metadata for security and analytics (device, IP, session identifiers).

How We Use Data

Authenticate participants, admins, and judges through Clerk session claims.
Display live scoring, leaderboards, and certificates within the competition portal.
Send transactional email via Resend for onboarding and important event updates.
Improve round design by reviewing aggregated submission outcomes and timing data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell participant information.
Judges can access submissions they are grading, including stored code and MCQ answers.
Event partners may receive anonymized metrics (e.g., participation, average scores).

Security & Retention

All persistent data is stored in MongoDB behind Mongoose models with connection pooling.
Clerk handles passwordless authentication and session management across protected routes.
Submissions flagged as completed are retained for auditing until organizers delete the round.

Your Choices

Participants can request deletion of their account and related scores via support@codestorm.eventneo.com.
Admins can toggle quiz visibility and purge submissions from the admin panel.
Opt-out links are included in every automated email sent via Resend.
